Amazing how much more uncomfortable you get with each passing week! The Bean is now around 5 pounds and is not slowing down one bit - last night Ian felt my belly while I was sleeping and the Bean was squirming like crazy, hope it's not a sign of things to come! Takes every bit of effort to do daily tasks - even putting on socks is a challenge. Cannot stop cleaning and organizing - major nesting phase. The nursery is now complete and ready for occupancy and we have stocked up on household items we'll need for the next 3 months. Being an organized planned person is one thing, but being an organized planned pregnant person takes it to a new level. The house is spotless (Ian is not complaining) and every closet has been pulled apart and reorganized. I've even arranged my clothing to suit my mommy lifestyle (t-shirts and comfy pants have replaced anything remotely fashionable). This weekend we are packing our hospital bags of which we will each have one customized to our needs for labour & post partum. We have also started childbirth classes with 6 other couples and meet once a week for 9 weeks. The classes involve labour & delivery and also a newborn parenting series. Tomorrow night we have our hospital tour of the labour & delivery and also the post partum wards. Will be one of those "reality check" moments. Only 4 more weeks to go now!
